Latest report from Boot Camp... :)

David apparently injured his leg while at the boot camp training for Band of Brothers, and is now on crutches. He's also apparently had some significant weight loss as a result of the training, if the IMDB is to be believed (which it usually is). I wonder how they're going to write this in for Ross, though? I mean, on the absolute off-chance that he realises his feelings for Rachel again in the finale, he wouldn't be running over to kiss her, he'd be hobbling, which I know doesn't exactly conjure up the most romantic images in *my* mind... :)

The weight loss they could either ignore or conceal by having him wear baggy clothes. :)

I don't think the weight thing is that important. I don't remember, but how did they explain Matthew Perry's weight loss during drug rehab? I don't think they even did. He just went to extremely skinny for almost a whole season.

I think those episodes have already been filmed. A funny way to explain it for the season finale might be an injury suffered at Ben's (fifth?) birthday party. "Five year old children can get suprisingly irritated if you point out the historical inaccuracies in those 'Land Before Time' movies."

They will figure something out. If Matt LeBlanc can put Joey's arm in a sling, David Schwimmer can put Ross on crutches. Although, if he is in fact leaving and this is it for Ross, it does leave us with the last pathetic image of Ross as the ultimate loser; having lost a home, furniture, a job, and several wives and lovers, he finally loses the proper use of all his limbs. Oh, hell, in season seven they'd probably just make him fall down an elevator shaft anyway.

Or we can go Ally McBeal and give him a brain tumor.

Does anyone know if David will be making any public appearences? I read some dates on this NG about when/where he will be filming for the movie but I stupidly didn't save them....

Which would be the best possible reason for them to do it. Remember that these guys primarily want to find what is funny, and they have held off on a reunion because R&R weren't funny enough.
