Anyone know why Cartoon Network obscured the "Woody" award statue? I never saw this ep on FOX.

They didn't. The blurring effect is the joke.

It was blurred in the original episode as well. I mean, seriously, imagine what it is, based on what it is called, and what it is for...do you really think that ANY network (to say nothing of Fox) would really allow that to be shown?

Anyone remember the SOUTH PARK episode where Mr. Garrison was trying to get fired from his teaching job for being gay? He went *overboard* demonstrating his particular sexual bent trying to get fired so he could sue the school department.

I didn't notice it when I viewed the episode on TV, but I have a screenshot (that I'm pretty sure I got from www.southparkstudios.com ) that shows him on stage, behind a podium, during an awards ceremony. I believe he was standing beside "Mr. Slave" and he was wearing some outrageous getup.

Well, the podium was transparent, and if you look closely, you can see that Mr. Garrison had his "business" hanging out for all to see!

I'm not sure even South Park would do something like that these days (after 'nipplegate') but who knows.

Still, I had read somewhere, possibly Greg brought this up, that they did in fact animate it that way before blurring it. Stil, I wouldn't mind seing it myself, as I feel ti works too well in the cartoon well enough for anyone to take seriously.

Kinda reminded of of that WMV file that went around of Peter watching the sex tape with the girl licking her boobs and getting off on a vibrator. I personally would've loved to see that in the show as well if only for shock effect. If this show was produced in Europe or elsewhere more liberal, they'd probably get away with it anyway.

Another episode of SP also had some character I've heard about getting a sex change that resorted to live-action close-ups of someone getting his penis removed or whatever.

I wondered how they got away with that. I know a veterinarian who claims it was up close footage of a horse castration, which would be legal under FCC guidelines.

Yes, I'm sure they would. Hell, Comedy Central shows the South Park movie, completely unedited, on late night.
