Oh well, I thought it was decent. Seen better, seen worse. Nice random Quantum Leap reference. Stewie's revenge was a hoot... One question though: The scene where Tom Tucker gets out of the pool in slow motion and kisses Meg. This is obviously from a movie or tv show...any ideas?

The pool scene is from "Fast Times at Ridgemont High". It's a classic 80's teen movie. That scene was also redone by "The Man Show" not too long ago.

Yes, it really was Hugh Downs. He was in the credits and no one could fake his voice that well.
My guess is that Mayor Adam West recorded some lines that were later cut. After all, there was a lot of action at City Hall.
What about Steve Guttenberg? Was that really his voice?

As for the American beauty ref, I thought it was going to end with the bag blowing onto a car windshield, causing it to crash or something, or blow onto someone's head and suffocate them. The parody didn't seem quite as evil as it should have been. And thinking about this episode, you know what? Peter just wasn't in it enough for me...you had two plots, Meg as the intern and Stewie's trikey, and Peter didn't figure heavily into either of them. Sometimes the show does fine without him (as in The road to Rhode Island), but this ep I think he was needed more.
I thought the funniest part was Chris tickling his brain and then saying "Ouch, now I don't know math! I laughed for ten minutes after that.
