I remember a while ago you stated that if FG was cancelled, you were sure that the banned ep would find it's way onto the internet.
Are you still sure about that? I'm guessing we won't be getting a DVD anytime soon (or at all), and I was wondering if you had any info in this regard.
PS: Forgive me if you didn't exactly say "sure", but that was the impression I got.

Would you consider sending the ep via regular mail to one of us that has the ability to capture / share via ftp or http? (e.g. myself) I could convert to mpeg-1 and mpeg-2 and send the mpeg-1 version to Craig while sharing the mpeg-2 version on my FTP server.

Meh, I doubt FOX will worry about any repercussions considering there aren't that many people who will be clamoring for it. I mean, relatively speaking. Those who simultaneously like Family Guy, frequent the internet for Family Guy news, collect the eps, and realize that there is a banned ep won't exactly be considered a large amount of people by FOX. I mean, the number of people who _watch_ Family Guy isn't considered a large amount of people by FOX.
And if the cancellation of Family Guy wasn't considered newsworthy for most media outlets, I doubt the emergence of some banned ep would be a big deal.
Hopefully the episode will be distributed on the internet as a good quality mpeg file, and a few gracious people will make the video cassette versions for those in need.
Somehow this reminds me of the banned episode to Married with Children from the third season. Glad I have this on tape personally. Haven't considered uploading a DivX clip of it yet.

The episode, entitled "I'll See You In Court!", was about how Peg was trying to put a litlte zing into her sex life with Al, so by the advice of Marcie, they stayed at a motel where the witness a security video that turned them on. The video was of Marcie and Steve Roades who previously was at the motel, and they had to show it to their faces, upon doing so they also failed to realised they were taped as well. They then try to sue the motel for violating their private interludes in court where they were humiliated by doing so.
The episode was not seen on FOX due to the content, though it was pretty tame by the later standards of the show, and has not been seen in the repeats on FX. It has been broadcasted in several foreign markets. For years I had to be content with a multi-generational recording of from a broadcast on Isreali TV with Hebrew subs before I picked up a studio master version. It's great to see this show much clearer now and with no subtitles.
Perhaps if I ever get around to do, I'll try to see how to get it on Morpheus or on a NG binary group. Still need to learn how to find the proper codec to use and how low I can get the size of it to be without losing any quality to the video.

that's interesting because it did air over here in the UK on sky one-despite the fact that said channel decided to air the entire series at 6 o clock of an evening and cut many episodes to shreds. they even edited out any scene where peggy was referred to as peggy wanker due to said name being considered a rude word over here!

Was it worse than the syndicated cuts we have here in the states? Used to remember a gag or two being removed from the FOX version when I seen the same episode repeated on local stations..
Still, you did see the episode. It has never been seen here in North America at all, yet it continues to get aired elsewhere MWC is still being carried. Amazing Columbia/Tri-Star/Sony is that dense not to notice this episode lying around in their dusty vaults.

I'm half tempted to use up even more of my student loan on getting the DVD (well I have to at least get one. Whats the point in having a dvd drive if you don't have any dvds?)
