"Fifteen Minutes Of Shame" - Name of those puppets?

Hello!

Does anybody know the names of these two puppets [1], which sit with Chris in the car and won't talk to him? Maybe they are well known in America (but not so much in Germany(?)). I remember that years ago, I saw a christmas cartoon with these two where they "fight" against a "bad guy", who wants to spoil christmas. He built a machine to put all presents in unbreakable glass or so. At the end, these two puppets save the day and all is good again.

So any help would be appreciated, the names and especially the name of the cartoon. Of course, these information in german would also help a lot.

As for which film you saw, a quick search on imdb.com shows a whole bunch of movies featuring the pair. Check it out!
