No more American Dad on Cartoon Channel??

On Thursday night they were airing American Dad right before Family Guy but that has stopped. Does anyone know why?

Something involving their contract with FOX. They can only show premieres, and aren't allowed to show reruns.

Hey dickhead, I DO know the answer. AS was given the ability to repurpose the show, but they could only air an episode of American Dad for a week, and then not again. Every time Fox pre-empted or reran American Dad, AS had to pull it off the lineup. For a show that was one of Adult Swim's highest rated, I'm sure they'd love to show reruns of it (Fox certainly is). Unfortunately, because Fox tries to rule television with an iron fist, they can't. American Dad will return to Adult Swim in Fall when new episodes air.

It's different with Family Guy, because since the show would still be completely dead without [as] picking it up, Seth made sure that [as] could continue to show the episodes even after they appeared on Fox.

Unlike Fox, Seth has human decency.
