How have short-lived series fared in the past for video releases?
Obviously, the people who own the rights might be thinking that since the ratings wasn't high enough to result in the show continuing or going into syndication, they might assume there is no home video market.
Has something like The Critic or Dr. Katz been considered for home video or even DVD release?

I actually own the laserdisc set of The Family Dog, a short lived animated series from 1993. It was a sort of spinoff from one episode of the Amazing Stories TV series.
So don't give up, you never know!
how many episodes aired (or are on the disc)? i remember that coming on but dont recall how long it lasted. i'd imagine maybe a month (4 episodes) at the most.

The box set contains all the episodes, which would be 10. I don't remember how many actually aired.

Episodes of Dr. Katz were released (I believe) by Rhino on home video a few months back.
Rhino released a DVD of 4 episodes of FOX's short lived "Get A Life".. I am hoping they come up with Brisco Co, Jr. (I've heard a rumor of the COMPLETE run), Key West, Strange Luck or Herman's Head..

Poldy, I'd love to see some of the best "Family Guy" episodes on DVD (especially the one where they killed William Shatner). I'd jump on some discs with "The Critic" or "Dr. Katz" as well. There's a real shortage of adult cartoons on DVD at this point. Fortunately, "The Simpsons" are coming soon.

if anyone is interested, i have a cd with just about every episode of family guy in real media (played with a www.real.com real player) that i can dub copies of. i'd trade it for any old dvd you dont watch anymore as long as it's something halfway interesting.
