Nope -- earlier than that. Fox originally said Jun 2005, and later revised that to a more generic "Spring 2005". My guess is that we will see it even sooner, since Fox's lineup of new shows doesn't look strong. My guess is that it will replace "American Dad" (which will quickly flop) on Sunday nights by March.

I'm looking forward to it, but actual quality of the show probably isn't the main issue here. It's a comedy that's about politics and terrorism - now that's a tough sell for network TV. It seems like the kind of show that would be better off on Comedy central or HBO, and knowing how cancel-happy FOX is, American Dad has got a tough battle ahead. But on the other hand, because they cancelled Family Guy when they shouldn't have, maybe they'll give this one more breathing room and give it at least a season before deciding if they want to axe it or not.

While that's that backdrop of the show, that's not the entirety of it....you couldn't keep a series alive on a gimmick like that. It's really more about an interesting work environment for Stan, and a foundation for his relationship with his family (buttings heads w/ Hayley, protecting Francine, and transfering his machismo to Steve). Sure, there will be politics and topical hot buttons...but that's not what you tune in for...you tune in to laugh and to like the family. At it's heart, it's just an animated spin on the traditional family sitcom.

I don't know about that, but Fox will surely have something fail by then. After all, it is Fox, and they can't fill all their schedule holes with replays of 24!
