The absolute coolest family guy moment ever is when Stewie did his William Shatner version of RocketMan!

That gets my vote too. Before we got the DVDs we had that ep on tape, and I think my wife watched that scene three or four days in a row during breakfast. It's totally hilarous.

i am torn between stewie's 'rocketman' and peter's breastfeeding of stewie. both are classic. also, randy newman in "da boom" is another favorite of mine.

The coolest moment is when the dog calls Peter "a terible liar" and they cut into a scene where Peter and an unknown man is in an elevator and someone farts. Peter points at the other guy and says: "It was you!"

Not since the Wally Weasel arcade scene in _The Simpsons_' "Radio Bart" have I laughed so hard and often on repeated viewing. That's the funniest thing I think I've ever seen.

Hi, I just started lurking here, but this is the kind of show you have to shout out to, so no silence here :] Weighing in my thoughts:
The first one that really hit me was the episode when Peter talks to Meg, and Lois comes out saying "I haven't seen her that happy since that tour bus broke down outside our house", cutaway to Hanson saying "hi, can we use your phone?" to which Peter replies: "Holy crap! It's the children of the corn!" and procedes to pull out a shotgun and start firing.
There's also: *telephone rings* "Uh, Lois, I can't take out the garbage. I'm staying late at work" "Peter, the caller ID says your in the kitchen. I can see you from here!" *Peter shuffles further into the kitchen* "Can you see me now?" "No" "Then I'm at work"
I think my absolute favorite "out of nowhere" scene, is when Lois gets the job as a stewardess, and they show Peter in Austrailia poking the crocodile. Suddenly, out of nowhere a koala comes flying from off screen and latches onto his face.
Second would be the "Pea Tear Griffin" scene where Brian is in rehab and Peter is trying to bum a cheap vacation. That was hilarious!

I don't know why, but this one had me laughing my ass off.
One other cool moment is when Peter says "No, you're a griffin and you never know when to stop". And then they cut into a surgery room where peter is the doctor and tries to wake someone up with electric pulses.

Being a video game fan, I loved the Pac-Man skit "Oh, oh Look at us, we're blue, uh oh! Screw this, let's go to Qbert's house."
My fave is when Quagmire is looking out the window naked when it slams shut, so he picks up the phone:
"Hi, 911? Yeah, it's Quagmire... It's stuck in a window this time."
I alsmost wet myself when I first saw that!
