I own a Pioneer CLD-M90 Laserdisc/Cd/CDV Player. Yay, me! Whooo!
What types of files can I download that can be played on this. Is CDV just the 'old' way of saying VCD?

VCD is digital, MPEG-1 as opposed to DVD's MPEG-2. The similarity in encoding means that it's not much problem for DVD players to include VCD functionality. But LaserDisc players typically have no MPEG video capability.
