Hi folks,

I've been a bit delinquent in posting stuff here on the NG (I've been trying to keep DamnYouAll.Net up to date as much as possible) so I wanted to welcome everyone 'officially' here to The Family Guy Reference Archives - http://www.familyguyfiles.com

What are we and what are we about?

Our goal is the most detailed and complete reference web site for Family Guy. Primarily:

• General Episode Information
• Pop Culture/References Per Episode Information

The cleverness and speed of execution of Family Guy's humor is often lost and this is our way of preserving (and explaining!) so many of the incredibly detailed and thoughtful jokes that have appeared in the show.

As of today, we have over *1100* searchable, indexed references in our database; we figure on the average of at least 1 reference per minute of Family Guy. And thanks to OVERWHELMING vistor support, we add more and more every day.

We also feature an immensely popular Interactive Quiz (I could never have guessed it would be so popular - unreal) that features over 200 questions (some awfully hard) and 'screen recognition' questions. Over 1200 people have signed up in the last 3 months alone just to take the quiz. We're working on a much more elaborate '2.0' version as well.

We also post news and link to popular sites as well as provide a couple of other services.

This year has been amazing. The visitors and fans of the show are DOWN RIGHT AMAZING; in scope, knowledge, and dedication. I can't see how Fox could have cancelled this show based on the numbers I sift through every day.

Anyway, that's the pitch - I hope to see you over there. We've been busting butt to make this one of the most useful websites of its kind and we're always looking for folks to report the gags we've missed.

I've just added a new PICTURE GALLERY function to the site - pretty much anywhere you can see episode information, you can jump to the episode picture gallery. I'm slowly upgrading all the pics to DVD rips for quality sake (its amazing how BAD the MPG rips look compared to the new ones!). Plus I'm ripping about 15-20 images per episode now instead of just 3 (hint: v2 of the quiz is gonna be a bitch - you think its tough NOW).

Good bit of work done today!

Got more surprises coming soon...

I'd like to see less questions about episode names and more about quotes and characters.

There are some 250+ questions in there ... while there are probably a good deal of episode name questions, I just shuffled through them and there are a lot of others (damn hard ones too - the 25 pointers esp). This version of the quiz is so random, but the next one will be better.

Of course, I add questions fairly regularly.

Finally got around to making a semi-decent Flash intro for the site, so if you've bookmarked the main page, give the new front door a look.

Glad you like the site ... I've go so much I want to do for it - time permitting. The DVDs are very helpful.

I've added two 'independant commentaries' as an experiment. I recorded them dry run so they aren't perfect, but I did them in a style that is more about the show and the references. Both run the full length of the show and are downloadable in MP3 format on the site right now.

Comments are appreciated. If you guys at least like the IDEA, I'll go back and do them more professionally - I'm just curious if people want them or not.

I really like these! Kinda fun, just like extra way to watch the episode. Kinda almost like watching with somebody's just random thoughts.
