FG DVD

Does anyone know when season 2 is being released on DVD? It's been a while since S1 was out... Anyone have any info?

hell i'd be happy with season 1. it still makes no sense to me why they release the dvd in region two when the show is made here in region 1. oh well, i guess it's a good thing my dvd player is hackable. it's just too bad it takes so freaking long to get anything in the mail from overseas.

how so? i'm just curious. i guess i'm not too pissed about it since i can order it from blackstar or something anyway, but i still think it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. although i admit that i have no clue what goes on in region 2 as far as marketing is concerned, i doubt somewhat that family guy was marketed too much over there (not that it was here either, but i'm guessing it was more here) and therefore people know about it already, rather than relying on internet buzz. but, i'm probably wrong and just making an ass of myself. if you have any other points to make, i'd love to hear those too.

ahh, i see. i didn't realize syndication wasn't a big thing in EU. it doesn't look much like we are going to be seeing family guy on any station though anytime soon, even on syndication. however, i guess if they released it on DVD, there'd be no chance of them selling it to any stations. oh well i guess. thanks for pointing out the errors in my logic :)

As I understand it, there aren't enough episodes of FG for a syndication package so they couldn't sell it anyway. So why not just release it on R1 DVD and squeeze a few bucks out of it...

Maybe they will, but such decisions move at the speed of corporate bureaucracy.

I think i read series 2 will be out towards the end of the year, but there isn't a date yet.

Would be funny if that little scene someone posted before in this group would be seen on the new set, though I bet it won't happen. Still, I can't help but enjoy that clip anyway. Kinda fits into the sort of eroticism the series was know for anyway.
