"American Dad" households: 4.8 millions, 7 share 12th for the night

And I'm really hoping American Dad catches on big time, too. Despite some similarities in the two shows' senses of humor, they are quite different -- the jokes are of the same caliber, but Family Guy aims more at pop-culture references while American Dad goes straight for political propaganda and paranoia. And both keep it rich with sight gags and everyday jokes about dealing with family. Wonderful stuff.

I don't have exact numbers, but if I recall correctly FG built on the Simpsons lead-in for the second week in a row.
