Jew episode?

I've been hearing references about a "jew episode" of family guy that you have to download.

Does anybody know anything about this?

To set the record straight one last time:

The fiftieth and final episode of Family Guy entitled "When You Wish Upon A Weinstein" had one basic plotline: Peter meets a successful Jew and wants Chris to become a Jew, assuming that's the key to success. FOX rejected it and, indeed, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Family Guy was cancelled and the episode never aired. TVTome.com announced it would air on August 6th, then the episode aired was "15 Minutes of Shame", making me look very foolish for announcing it. Anyhow, it floated around internet file-sharing programs. It'll be on the Vol. 2 DVD set that comes out on September 9th.

You're making it sound like FG was cancelled *because* of it. Don't try to "set the record straight" with these, uh, "facts".

No, it wasn't the straw that broke the camel's back. It was produced for and supposed to be aired in the second season, not the third. It was turned down and just sat there and wasn't the HUGE controversy you're making it out to be. The show disappeared due to low ratings (primarily because of Fox's incessant changes to it's time slot) and not some huge riff between the network and the show. In fact, MacFarlane is still employed by Fox and is working on some sort of feature-length project for them right now. Now please don't go starting any more rumors that don't need to be started.

But yes, it will be available on the Volume 2 DVD here in the US in September. If you live in the UK or have the ability to play region 2 DVDs, you can find it on the Season 2 R2 DVD that was released earlier this year.

Yep, it's the final episode on the S2 DVD. For all the fuss this particular episode caused, am I the only one who's struggling to see the controversy with it?

Ever see the "lost" episode of Married With Children from season #3? It was never aired in the USA until 2002. It's probably one of the least offensive episodes in MWC history.
