Cut scene from "The Kiss Seen Round the World?"

Ok. I own a printed script to this episode. Here's a few lines from it (proposed cut is enclosed in [begin] and [end]):

Lois: Oh my, this place is enormous.

[begin] (A clown in a red wig is doing a goofy dance)

Clown: Toys are fun/ Toys are great/ Step right up and don't be late.

Lois: Excuse me, could you help us find something?

Clown: (stops dancing) Oh, I'm, I'm sorry. I don't work here. (resumes dancing) Toys are fun/ Toys are great....

[end] Peter: Oh man, they got these little plastic disc guns! -------------------------

I don't remember seeing that scene on FOX.

Just because it was scripted doesn't mean it was actually animated. Not only are there multiple revisions of the script before it goes into storyboarding, but once the animatic is made, the show usually runs long. Stuff is cut, new jokes are written, and it gets sent to be animated....even then, once the animation is complete, new stuff is written, some things are cut.

There's a BILLION jokes you''ve missed out on, but it's not Fox's fault..that's just how the production process goes.

He drew storyboards here in the good ol' USA. The animation was done in Korea.

What I don't know are the dates he worked on the series, or even the exact range of episodes; I know it was Season 3, but a previous post rocked my concept of which season was which. I know there were only 3, not 4 like some would purport, but the 'air' season lists don't match the 'production' seasons. I thought season 3 started with "Thin White Line" and ran to "The Road to Europe," (which was NEVER called "European Road Show," some of the online community needs to get more accurate titles) but I am not altogether sure anymore. (I also realize that the real Christmas ep was intended for season 2, but never hit the tube until 3.)

For the last f-ing (or is that laughing) time, Season Three started with Emission Impossible, ending with Road to Europe...13 episodes.

I have never figured out why FOX never admitted that certain eps were made and aired. The FOX web site never listed the eps from Thin White Line to Fish Out of Water. (The Wednesday night run.) Interestingly, while there is no link off of the main fox page for FG, if you type in www.fox.com/familyguy, not only is the page still there, but there is a popup congratulating the show for its 2002 Emmy nomination. Talk about the 'crazy aunt in the basement' syndrome! Maybe if they hadn't named the gay teddy bear 'Rupert'...hmmm

Apparently "Family Guy" is now part of the Fox.com vault, whatever that means. I don't much care for the other shows in that vault and resent that Fox would group a brilliant show like "Family Guy" with that dreck.

Not always...some of my absolute favorite shit got cut either for time or because the writers didn't find it funny after 6 months anymore. Then again, some last minute shit ended up kicking ass....so it's give and take.
