more offensive:South Park of Family Guy?

I'm gonna go with Family Guy on this one.

They're both excellent shows. As for "offensive," what do you mean? I find the following to be highly offensive: - Everyone Loves Raymond - The Geena Davis Show - Third Rock From the Sun - Mad About You - Almost everything w/ Robin Williams - Anything with Whoopi Goldberg This list was not meant to be all-inclusive, just representative.

Well I definitely think the average South Park ep. is more vulgar and likely to offend, well those people who get offended by this kind of thing. FG ultimately has to bow to the network censors, last week's ep being a prime example where Brian wins the award and its blurred out (presumably because its shaped like a penis), whereas South Park is free to say "shit" 150 times.

That, friends, is the difference between cable and national TV. Cable you pay for, shows can get away with a little more. National TV is able to come in to the homes of many many more people, so they try to be as PC as possible. I think "Family Gay" is infinitely more offensive than "South Park". It's not as offensive as "South Park" when it comes to offending a certain race, sex or religion, but rather to comedy lovers everywhere. Anybody that appreciates comedy can see how bad the show is and has always been. Case in point: "if I had a hole in my throat, I'd put pennies in it!" *begin sarcasm for the casual "Family Gay" fan who can't detect it without some notice* Wow! "Family Gay" is the greatest! I want to put pennies in my throat-hole! *end sarcasm*. I'll sum Seth MacFarland's concept of comedy up in one sentence: "If it defies all logic, it's funny!" That concept has been proven wrong week after week on the Fox Network, but "Family Gay" is still on the air. It's amazing, really.

PS: The term "Family Gay" is about as funny and clever as anything on the show, and the term is not something I'm proud of. However, I reluctantly used it in this post so that fans of "Family Guy" would read the entire post, hoping for more pathetically base puns to keep them going until the next poorly-written episode airs. -------------------------------- I have 12 films by Stanley Kubrick in my DVD collection, but I also have a double feature of "Revenge of the Nerds" and "Revenge of the Nerds II: Nerds In Paradise".
