what's with #familyguy?

everytime i connect it says:

#familyguy can't join channel (address is banned)

Could have banned a large block of people at once, espically if they have been having problems from people on similat ips/isps

Yup. IRC channel admins are notorious computer snobs. They will frequently ban people simply because they use AOL or some other ISP that is deemed unacceptable by computer nerds . . . I don't really know enough about IRC to know how to go about gaining admittance after being banned, but I'm sure you can find an FAQ or ask someone on alt.irc . . . Dave

Hi all,

I'm having trouble burning a couple of downloads from craigs page to vcd.

Specifically they are eps 220 & 313. They show no time on the bar and won't read in my player.

Any suggestions? help is appreciated.

Its a fairly reasonable requiremnet as it cuts down the number of spam msgs and problems the room gets.

Boy do i know that is true, but i'll tell you this:

It's PROBABLY alright for someone (without AOL as their ISP) to go on IRC & start sending people viruses, oh yes that's ok but using AOL as your ISP gets you banned straight away! :o(

You are all being dumb. The address is banned. YOUR IP ADDRESS IS BANNED. not a group of IP's... that is like saying that every phone numner in north america that has a 403 area code is the same number of the same customer, it is not. if your ip is banned, it is because of the irc client you are using, or you have a trojan (virus) or a script that dalnet has deemed "illiegal".

i would suggest you go to www.mirc.com and download the latest client, and connect using that.

I'm sorry but it could just be the case that a whole bunch of address has been banned still. There could be nothing wrong with his connect at all.

If it was anything to do with Dalnet he wouldn't be even able to connect to the server.
