Every time I turn on the tv I see a comercial for that 80's show, but only a few times have I ever seen a FG comercial. WHY!?!

Because it's Fox's Big New show, they always advertise everything to death, just like they did with Undeclared. I'm sure they did the same with FG before its first show too. Anyway that 80's show looks just plain BAD, I can't wait for it to actually start showing so they'll stop airing the same freakin' commercial over and over again!!!!

That's 70's show was bad enough, if it's the same kind of thing, then it's REALLY gonna suck, the 80's was bad...for music, telly, everything...

c'mon man the 80's had its goods too! I mean one of the reasons FG appeals to me is all the 80's nostalgia that it shows! The Kool-Aid Guy! many musical references!, Who's the Boss! Undeclared is a great show, at least...
And I love That 70s show... (Tuesday nights are great on Fox)
But, That 80s show just seems stupid.... "It's a portable phone!"
But, I guess I'll watch it once and give it a chance.

Meh...what it was, in the UK, they remade it as "Days Like These", same show, same scripts, same style, different actors, and it seemed funnier because it had UK accents... (having a guy scream HOT SHIT! in an English accent makes me laugh..)
I remember Fox advertised the hell out of Family Guy and 'sneak previewed' it after the Super Bowl. But that turned out to be their first mistake as they didn't start airing episodes until 2 months later. Even so, the show did pretty well when it aired after The Simpsons. The next year, Fox learned from their mistake and premiered Malcolm in the Middle after the Super Bowl and then IMMEDIATELY put it in Family Guy's former spot. As much as I enjoy Malcolm, it was certainly a culprit in Family Guy's slow demise .
