I'm so old that I can't even recall the decade it's from, because after 1970, I mostly ignored the pop music, excepting of course that semi hilarious Casey Kassem embarrassing excerpt (was it fake?) & such as (BYE BYE MS AM PIE circa 1960s type of) novelty stuff, tho i've seen in person Willy Nelson, Peebo Bryson, and also actually went to a rainy outdoor Elton John concert pushing Diet Coke

The Griffin song-singing is so bad that it's actually good. <that's known as a "cliche"> And here's how it worked for me.

Nevetheless, Peter hangs-in, and the family also joins-in harmoniously which is certainly unusual for them. A joke is there inherently, while the Griffin singers version of a past top pop song deserves (my) repeat playing. Thus my request for link. Because I don't know the title nor the original artist nor era/decade-- it was just another song that I probably heard flipping through a radio for less boring NPR w/o commercials or a less boring Garrisson Keillor with fake commercials

Now in contrast, take the Edmund Hawkins Singers of Chicago: The famous choir takes a traditional religious hymn, and makes a memorable, enjoyable presentation out of it. That's what they do, their trademark. I wouldn't describe their entertainment as initially a lame situation nor joke.
