... seriously, the Evil Monkey was a nice little touch in the first three seasons, but now he's in every other episode, and it's being way over-done.
The same thing with the greased up deaf guy last night, that was pointless. Don't throw these characters in there for the hell of it, just because fans loved their original appearances, only throw them in if the new appearance is going to be good, otherwise they lose their charm.
If there's a character that SHOULD come back, it should be Cleveland Jr. He was hilarious.

Seriously, though, I agree that the evil monkey is being a bit overdone. Prior to season 4, I can only think of 3 or 4 times the evil monkey showed up. We've already passed that mark in this season.
It's one of my favorite recurring gags, but it does lose it's effectiveness if not done in moderation.
I loved the monkey twisting one up, listening to Foghat on headphones. If you're 40-ish, white and male, you get this. Seriously, insisting that the writing is lacking... what fucking planet are you people from? It's been brilliant, really. I own only two TV related DVD's: Greg The Bunny, and and Family Guy. FG is kinda like Seinfeld, in that while NOBODY can be funny all the time, the FG crew has done some classic comedic television. Does anyone realize how hard that must be? Do yourself an experiment: write a funny dialogue between two characters... just a page... now show it to someone and see how funny they think it is. Your mom doesn't count. Not an easy thing. Keep the monkey. Hit it hard, because it works. Running gags establish familiarity... J.J. Evans was Dy-No-Mite! Fred Sanford spelled his name with a period. Get over it.
BTW, I like Seth Green, but that's not the main reason he's in both my TV-DVD's. Total coincidence, really, although I really like Robot Chicken, too. And he totally chewed scenery in that queer-party movie with Macauley Culkin... Seth was awesome, Culkin was an extremely poor casting choice. What was that movie called?--->JMS
Actually there was a punchline that got cut....Greased-Up-Deaf-Guy popped his head back in the door and said "Your lips say go, but your eyes say stay" ...I wish that was still in there. Wah.
As a guy who does audio production, I really understand what Seth would have gone through to record that piece. Out of curiosity, do you have any idea how many takes it took to get it right?

It's odvoisly a sample of peter say one "phrase" you put that into a sampler, then you can play the entire thing back on your keyboard. All 4 parts. It would litterally take about 2 min longer then the song itself..

Even if he did record each "Peter" separately, you could simply use Soundforge to timestretch or compress to make sure everything lines up in sync for the final product.
