In all the oh-so intelligent replies to my post, I have yet to hear a plausible reason then, why FOX would deliberately kill a series such as Family Guy. You obviously don't undertand showbiz. As Stewie would say: Damn you all.

Your post wasn't plausible to begin with. Why would Fox deliberately kill a show that could bring them tons of money in syndication in the future?

If the Simpsons staff REALLY had that much control over Fox to have Family Guy cancelled, why didn't they demand that Futurama be moved from its Sunday 7:00 time slot (where it would be pre-empted at least every other week, and have new episodes "joined in progress", from September through January by football) - or, if they did, why didn't Fox do it?

The thing is, there is someone higher up at Fox that basically orchestrates those ratings. A show that repremieres after a long hiatus and then jumps between two time slots without ANY promotion simply cannot get ratings. The fans of the show found it, and that is shown by the consistant ratings. They're low, but consistant. The people who love the show tune in every week. If more people knew it was on, it'd get better ratings.
