This also had folks who talked and discussed the pain as it was happening. This also made me cringe everynow and then. It's different than say when Peter gets hurt and he goes on and on about it ... maybe it's because we see Brian also as a dog, and so there is a bit of cuddly animal in him.

I am a big fan of family guy but whenever they waste time with filler crap I get mad. Like when Peter found the golden ticket and fell while running home and sat there holding his knee for way too long

I thought that was one of the great things about the show, the humor is completely retarded. If I want to be intellectually stimulated, I'll watch Discover or the History Channel. If I wanted intellectual humor, I'd rent a DVD of Dennis Miller doing stand-up. I don't want humor that makes me think, I want humor that makes me laugh so loud the neighbors call the cops.

I agree the musical number wasn't funny at all. I'd go so far as to say it was anti-funny. It sucked all the humor out of the room and adjacent rooms. If there had been a comedian in the room it probably would have killed him.

Which, in contrast, would've been really funny.
