So I deleted the file and set max connections to 5, it took longer, but the audio was intact through the whloe ep.

i guess it's possible that the program that downloads all the snippets screws up when putting them all back together therefore corrupting the file in a subtle way. i had that problem with the last episode i downloaded. i then downloaded it again and it worked perfectly.

I do not believe the problems have to do with pausing, or the number of connections open. I am running gozilla 3.9, so I can only have one connection open for the whole show, and I keep getting problems too. What I have just started doing, though, is about every 10 mb I rename it to .mpg and watch that bit, to check for problems, then if there are none, copy it to a different folder, and then repeat the process. This way (for those on slow connections) you can discover problems almost as soon as they develop and go back to the last copy that was not corrupted, and replace the new copy with the old one, and it will start downloading from where it left off with the previous file. The problem may be that it is over http and not ftp, maybe not as reliable. I know the last half dozen episodes I have downloaded have almost all had problems, this is why I am changing my approach. The last episode, Stuck together, torn apart, for example had problems at both about 16 minutes and then the last 30 seconds for me on the first try. I haven't tried again yet though.
