aug 1/2001 episode

This was a LOL episode espicially with the KOTH ref.The british stuff was funny too.I thought they would of had an OZ reference(the prison).Quagmire is the Moe Slyzak of Quohog.

I just noticed this about the Tron sequence, so I had to share it here.

I was watching it on TiVo and noticed that the walls seemed to have words on them. So I went frame-by-frame, and sure enough, there were words on the wall. It was just in a strange font and upside down.

The text was "YOU CAN READ THIS YOUR TV IS UPSIDE DOWN".

Pretty cool for something nobody was ever supposed to see.

Are you referring to that Green guy and Red Guy thing as the Tron reference? I must see this Tron movie, then.

And I will see view that part again to see those words, that's just part of Seth's brilliance :) Same with an old Family Guy episode which had the words: "If you can see this, Family Guy is on the Air" hidden on the bottom right of screen.

LOL....wow, I figured Tron's one of those movies that, even without having seen it.....you'd get that reference. It's not the greatest movie ever, but it visually it was pretty ahead of it's time and unique. There's an all new Special Edition DVD of it coming out soon, too.

Yup that was the Tron thing. It's kind of a cool movie, it's "The Matrix" of the early 1980s. Its about this computer programmer who gets transported inside a virtual computer world and has to play video games to survive. The bit on Family Guy was a "light cycles" game from the movie. The graphics used on FG were amazingly accurate, I wonder if they drew the scene just for the show or if they just took the scene directly from Tron and just inserted Peter where the actor should be...

What was with the bugs? I didn't get that reference.
