Other networks FG could air on

If FOX cans the show for good, we can always email or show the petition to people at other networks. Here are some I have thought of.

UPN - Haven't these guys been interested in Family Guy for quite some time now? The only worry I would have is the black offensive jokes on this show on a network saturated with black comedies that eventually tank.

COMEDY CENTRAL - Although I doubt this network would put it back in production. If they can't afford That's My Bush! then they could never afford this series. It could have a nice rerun time here though.

CARTOON NETWORK - This network airs all the others series that Seth MacFarlane has worked on, including his pilot short "Larry and Steve." I think this show would fit in with shows like Baby Blues and especially Sealab 2021.

HBO - Ok this one's a little farfetched, but why not :/. Complete creative control on this network ;). Remember "Spawn?"

I would go for HBO, plus they could air the "Weinstein" episode as is, also if he wanted, Seth could continue the show on HBO and go hog wild, with the show's content, I would gladly pay for HBO to watch FG "Corey Barnes" wrote in message news:[email]...

Your assuming that FOX will let them use the show on another network. They prob have a rights on the show.

I wonder what would happen to the shows writing if things weren't taboo. They could use expletives and show nudity as much as they wanted... It seems a certain part of the humor of the show stems from being risque on broadcast television. Getting away with "then I'd laugh because I said `come'" wouldn't be as funny...

Hey Greg, how closely did you work with the show? Were you just a slave in the basement or did you meet the writers, especially MacFarlane? I think it would be a treat to hear what his thoughts on the whole thing are. Any interviews with him out there?

UPN and Comedy Central are definite possibilities. I'd prefer CC because it's basic cable and they would be able to explore more areas of humor. Cartoon Network is unlikely because even though they have "Adult Swim" (Space Ghost rocks!) FG is waaaaaay to risque for them. And HBO is almost completely out of the question because animated shows take more time and money to make.

Seems to me that we are doing a pretty good job of distributing episodes via the internet. I have given up trying to watch new episodes on tv here in England (not just that fact that they aren`t on but also due to the excessive censorship). If only there were some way this could be done by a means that were profitable for the creaters. More and more people are getting broadband connections, it would be good if somehow a cooperative of internet users could fund the production of minority interest programs and receive them directly in a digital archivable format.
