Luckily my first experience of FG was from downloading an episode - had I seen an ep on TV, I'd probably have been put off it forever thinking it was crap.

Indeed, the TV schedulers here in the UK don't seem to grasp the concept that a cartoon can be for adults and therefore scheduled later than 6pm. Futurama has received the scissors rather harshly too, reducing some episodes to desperately unfunny proportions.

Hehe I love Seinfeld, and I can't believe the harsh treatment it got here - basically shown irregularly on random days at around 11:30pm with no fanfare at all, to make sure that even the show's followers wouldn't tune in at the right time to watch it.

I'm starting to wonder if they're just cutting scenes so they can sell uncensored DVD sets better. It's probably working too.

The embarassing part is the UK fanbase is possibly stronger than the US fanbase.

Although Canada holds the largest FG fanbase at the moment. It was pretty clear when I went into an FG chat and was asked "So, what province are you from?" How dare they!
