TFG replaced by the "Glutton Bowl" eating competition - What da hell is that sh*t all about?

I know Fox employs your basic pea-brained bottom feeders in their programming department, but this is ridiculous even for them.

Sure glad it's up against Olympic figure skating.

They replaced Family Guy with that piece of shit? Whose running FOX, Howard Stern?

And it wasn't even produced well. Yeah, it's a stupid concept for a TV show, but, once they committed to it, at least they could have tried to make it entertaining.

I admit I watched the show. It was like a train wreck that you had to watch out of morbid curiosity. But, after the second segment, it was just boringly repetitive. I just turned the sound way down and played a video game.

I kept an eye on the show in case they did something more interesting than just stuffing food in their mouths. Nope, never happened.

Howard Stern would never waste two hours of tv time with that nonsense.

5 or 6 "Wack Pack" members and some topless strippers shoving food in their mouths, maybe. Not 20 fat guys shoving bull balls in their mouths.

I guess the people at Fox were watching "Fear Factor" a bit too much.

My wife noticed that the model who was escorting the winners offstage hooked elbows with the guys to avoid actually touching them with her hands.

so us aussies should be expecting to see our own version of this show coming soon then i guess.

it seems we have no originality in this country and have to copy every other piece of shite that the americans and british can come up with.

australian survivor....australian temptation island...australian fear factor...the list goes on...

will this real life tv fad thing every dissapear so we can return to some decent programming?

Let us know if there's a "vegemite round" when the show goes down under. :-)

I remember the endless head-scratching when "Down Under" became a huge hit in the US. And marmite just plain scared the hell out of me when some British co-counselors at a camp in the Catskills took out a jar for lunch. Some folks with too much spare time have set the records straight for the uninitiated:

I noticed that he was the only player out of 40 that got to eat his "specialty" food in the first round. All the "Hamburger-Eating Champions", for example, had to eat mayonaise or butter. All the other "Hot-Dog Eaters" were in other heats.

I think the game was obviously skewed in his favor, giving him "home field advantage" in the first round.

Of course, he may have won anyway with the way he packed away food.

anyway,i thought all americans were known for eating ridiclous ammounts of food and being big and fat-surely the contestants were indistinguishable from the audience?! :)
