I thought the rerun last night was absurdly funny. I had somehow missed it the first time....
The lyposuction ep shows all the strengths of the show:
-offensive jokes -funny-looking things (skinny Peter) -old-school timing (Peter gag reflex)
IMO as funny as the best Simpsons eps...
I've seen it before, but I was on the floor with the lines, "I'm sorry, you can't park your van here. Oh, it's just a fat kid".

I think it's a tie between "Death is a Bitch" and "Lethal Weapons" for me. I really like a lot of the third season episodes, but one of the unfortunate parts of working on the show is by the time the episodes air, I've seen them a hundred times and know all the gags...not to mention a lot of the great jokes that have gotten cut....so my view on third season might be off-set because of that.

My favorite line was cut out of "Screwed the Pooch" ...Quagmire, Peter ,and Cleveland are sitting on the couch when Brian walks in...and Quagmire says "Hey Brian, we heard about your dishonorable discharge" and then Cleveland says "Someone got their hand caught in the penis jar"........speaking of Cleveland, Cleveland Jr. WAS in a few episodes but his scenes were cut for time constraints. He wasn't forgotten, just a victim of long shows. At the car wash in "Ready, Willing & Disabled", Cleveland Jr. sprays Cleveland w/ a hose and says "Hahahhah, you're dead! I commited patricide! Now I can't live with myself!", then sprays himself in the face. Bonnie ended up getting cut out a lot too....in "Emission Impossible", there's a scene w/ Joe and Bonnie where Joe said "Ya know Bonnie..I've been thinking about this for a couple years now.......and I think it's about time we had this baby" "Ooooooooh, Joe!!!!!!!" .......oh, and the best Chris line ever was replaced by the UPN joke in "To Love and Die" ......originally he said "JESUS SOUNDS LIKE A JERK!!!!!!!".....the read was SO funny.
Anyway, this type of thing happens to almost every show. That UK Futurama DVD has a lot of deleted scenes, which I think is great...if there's ever a US Family Guy DVD, I hope they stick some of the "lost jokes" on it.
