It's basically a shorter version of the very first episode, w/ different voices for Lois and Meg...Seth voicing Chris. Drawing's aren't as tight, timing isn't as snappy, colors are different..but the "aura" of Family Guy is all there. There are maybe a couple jokes that were slightly altered for the "official" first episode, but it's more or less the same.

I have a file on my computer called "Family guy pilot" - its a cartoon called larry and steve created by seth macfarlane. Larry has the same voice as peter and steve (a dog) has the same voice as brian. It 7 minutes long. They don't look like brian and peter though...

Really? There's a pilot that was never aired? Dammit...I'm gonna have to see that!

I can only assume it's like the South Park pilot that was never aired..looks a little different, different colours, different voices.. and looks pretty weird, but funny all the same.

I also read the other day that the guy who does Chris' voice is the guy who played Scott Evil in Austin Powers...never knew... cool...although I just couldn't imagine that guy doing his voice with the way he talks normally. The same with Seth Mcfarlane doing the voice of Stewie, as he sounds more like Peter when talking.
