Lonely brain cell

There was this episode were Peter only has one brain cell left. At the edn, the brain cell has his books, but then his glasses break. Wh�ch other film did this happen in?

It was an old episode of the Twilight Zone. Burgess Meredith was the bookworm type. He worked at a bank and went into the vault for privacy so he could read. Then there was a nuclear blast and he was the proverbial last man on earth. He was excited because he had all the time in the world to read. But then he dropped his thick glasses and broke them, and could no longer read. Cruel twist of fate. Its been a long time since I've seen it, but I think thats how the story went.

Did the Simpsons do a play on the same Twilight Zone episode, when Homer is inside the Withstandinator and the French Nuclear Bomb hits Springfield?

Similar, but not enough to say it was a parody of the Twilight Zone episode, in my opinion. IIRC, his family lived and many of the other people became flesh eating mutants.

It was the sub-episode The Homega Man, off of the Charlton Heston movie "The Omega Man". I remember seeing on cable a few years ago.
