How about a new "Petition" for new episodes on Cartoon Network?

I know that the FG staff is scattered to the ends of the Galaxy, but we should at least TRY and get new episodes out of Cartoon Network. I don't think DVD sales will have anything to do with Cartoon Network ordering new episodes, as they don't get any money from those sales, only fox does. Even if Family Guy sold a million copies outright and were flying off of the shelves, it would not automatically mean that Cartoon Network had a hit on their hands, as it is a CANCELLED series. Even though we all know that the Family Guy Formula was successful, and still has a lot of potential left in it, Cartoon Network doesn't. Cartoon Network, if they revived Family Guy and did it right, could have a cash cow on their hands via dvd sales.

about a year ago there was an online petition and if I remember over 100,000 people signed. Still, after this FOX kept it cancelled. If you go to stewiesminions.com (or something like that) you can read the gistory of it all. There have been times when people have sent crates of diapers to FOX studios and other things. As for the issue of staff scattering - the L.A. animation biz is a pretty small world, and most of us work on a "per project" basis...season ends or show gets cancelled, it's' off to find work. I mean...since FG I've worked on 4 other shows...I've been lucky, as a lot of people haven't found much work. Because of this it's pretty realistic that if FG started again - much of the staff would be able to come back.

This is a promise, if I ever win the lottery or make millions of dollars I'm commissioning some new episodes. In the old days people commissioned composers for songs, well now it's time to do the same for new FG eps!!!

Still, kinda sad Fox wouldn't go with the idea you once stated that they should do FG in Flash. I thought that was better than nothing if they felt they can save some cash in the process.

I'm one of the last people who would bet that Family Guy will return, but Farscape must have cost a hell of a lot more to make than Family Guy. Of course, Farscape videos and DVDs are popular and have been for some time. As SZJ wrote, if they did it in Flash now, that would save even more money and make it a more feasible project. it sounds to me like Seth's been talking to Cartoon Network about new episodes or at least that's what i got out of this comment.

Would be a bit too expensive for CN to pull off, no? I know the Futurama people hope for the same, but I don't think CN gets the ratings or has the budget to get it done. I'm no expert though so I could be way off...
