Is Rachael MacFarlane Seth's sister, wife, daughter, neice, no relation? She too can sing fairly well, so I'm thinking relation.
Also, what did "Souplantation on Daddy" mean when Stan found out he was paralized? I'm assuming it meant family hug or something, but "souplantation"? I've never heard that expression before. (That's what the Closed Captioning said, too, "souplantation.")
Souplantation is a chain of self-serve restaurants where you can get salads, soups, varous types of baked goods, potatos and desserts. If AD is set in Virginia then this must be a national level chain...
That may also explain why Stan says "Mr. Pib", not "Doctor Pepper".
The funny thing is that I went to the Souplantation website (http://www.souplantation.com/) and they're not even in Virginia, or the East Coast. They're currently located in 15 states. Great food though.

It's kind of a national thing. It pretty much doesn't exist in New England, but I've seen it heading down toward PA and MD.
No, it's not. Both Mr. Pib(b) and Doctor Pepper are owned by Coca-Cola and Pib(b) is only distributed where Coke does NOT sell Dr. Pepper. That includes the northeast, the northwest and parts of the west coast. Since both taste similiar (or so some say, Pibb to me is swill compared to Dr. Pepper) and had loyal customer bases, Coke decided to distribute whichever brand was most popular in a given area instead of having both compete nationally.
Doctor Pepper is produced at about 5 X the rate Pibb is.

In some areas, independent Coca-Cola (and Pepsi-Cola) bottlers serve as distributors of CSAB products; this might be the source of your confusion.
Yeah, it appears that Dr. Pepper is distributed by Coca-Cola here in New York, which would explain why you can't get Mr. Pibb here. I've only had it once, in Maryland about 10 years ago. I thought it was awful.
RC Cola has also disappeared from New York store shelves. For a while I could only get it at Shea Stadium fountains, but even that source has evaporated.

In my area (central New Jersey), Dr. Pepper isn't distributed by a Coca-Cola bottler, but I've never seen a can or bottle of Mr. Pibb (or Pibb Xtra) in any store. Likewise, I've never seen Mello Yello (the Mountain Dew knockoff). Nowadays, these brands simply aren't available in all regions.
Another of Coca-Cola's "limited distribution" soft drinks is TaB, which _is_ available in my area.

I was pretty impressed with her singing on Haley last night. Impressed enough that I finally went to IMDB and looked the show up so I could see who was doing the voice. I'd seen Rachael credited several times on various FG episodes, but apparently she's a bit of a busy girl beyond her brother's shows as well.
