VCD WEINSTIEN PROBLEMS

The vcd version of the show has problems. it doesnt burn properly as a vcd file... and i am re-encoding this as i type. if you had problems, please let me know.

Is it only when trying to burn as a vcd file that problems occur, or when trying to burn it at all? (Some of us are still in the dark ages and do not have DVD players so have no use for vcd files, so will just burn as MPG's)

It is when you go to burn the dvd. using nero, what happens is as follows:

nero looks at the file that you wish to add to the compilation, when it sees that it is not a valid mpeg1 file (mpeg1=regular vcd), it thinks that perhaps it is supposed to be an mpeg2 file (mpeg2=SUPER video cd and dvd video)... when it sees that it is not valid as an SVCD either it tells you why, and asks if it should leave it as it is, re-encode it (which doesnt work), or cancel...

if you select ignore and continue, and try and play it in a dvd player, it looks at it as if it is not a valid vcd, and cannot play the disc at all.

i re-encoded the file, and it is proper now, it works for me. it is a shame that it has to be this way, as many ppl dont know how to do a re-encode, etc.

Maybe you could start posting it somewhere as Weinstein VCD, or something.

First of all...thanks to Mephisto, & Sweet Zombie Jesus for all their hard work in getting the episode out to the fans!

Next: I noticed that the VCD file was a bit bigger than my other episodes, so I decided to re-encode it with TMPGEnc, "just in case" and my version burned properly, and played fine.

Well, in the process of moving to a new city, so I'm out for a few weeks, till I get everything set up at the new pad.
