Check back with us in late May when we make those decisions. We usually do not even start discussing pickups or cancellations until then, so please be patient. If someone writes to you and tells you a show HAS been cancelled, do NOT believe them. It is PURE FICTION at this point.

There ARE some Pickups ALREADY for Next Year. These EARLY Pickups/Cancellations are the exception - not the norm.

ALREADY PICKED UP FOR 02/03 SEASON: o THAT 70s SHOW (5th Season) o THE SIMPSONS (14th Season) o KING OF THE HILL (7th Season)

ENDING THEIR RUN THIS SEASON: o THE X-FILES (after 9 glorious Seasons) o THE TICK

SZJ: I know Fox hasn't ordered new eps yet, but it seems Fox doesn't necessarily air Family Guy seasons in conjunction with the rest of their line-up. There may be hope!

Trust me, it's dead. The very LATEST they had to make a decision was February...if it got a pickup and any available staff was able to come back, it would have been feasible to have episodes done by fall...it's almost April...if production started now, new episodes might not be ready for the falls season.....they'd have to find a new office, set it up, see which artists and writers could come back, etc....unless UPN shows some interest, it's over.

Didn't think it was being shown on German Television (first I've heard of it's presence outside the English world). Perhaps you'all also get the "Weinstein" epsiode too if that gets sneaked through an international package of the series.

That's kinda interesting. Never thought it would even show up on Korean television! Wonder how they might translate the theme song then? Love to see if Japan picks it up! A friend of mine over there misses it totally!

It isn't shown in Germany, but like futurama, it is traded heavily over the internet. Almost everybody (well, every college student) I know has seen it.

Seems like the usual case.

Still, I was a bit surprised when Greg told me it was being aired in France and Korea. Wonder how they go around some of the references and other American culture in the series? Usually hear a bit about the situation in translating The Simpsons in most countries.
