Years ago, the Flintstones met the Jetsons in one of my favorite cartoon movies from my childhood.
Now I would like to see the Griffins meet the Simpsons. Bonus points if Maggie and Stewie arrange the meeting and then run off and take over the world together!
Frankly, I'm just waiting for The Simpsons to be pulled off of life support. Face it, people, the ride is over. It hasn't been consistently funny in almost 10 years. Now, it's become so lame that I can't even watch it.
I'd much rather see the Griffins blow up the Simpson household with every character inside. Now THERE'S a special I'd watch!
That would make a good Simpsons series finale. The house blows up at the end of the episode, and Stewie grins...
Actually, the Simpsons were still my favorite family-oriented comedy cartoon until I finally caught an episode of Family Guy. FG took over after one line from Stewie...
I'm not too sure why people try to compare the Simpson's with Family Guy. Maybe it is because they are both animated. No, wait. Then why are they not comparing Family Guy with the Teenage Ninja Turtles.....
It's funny how the latest thing is just the best until something new comes along. Then it turns bunghole.
I like both the Simpsons and Family Guy. The new thing is always going to be more refreshing and novel.

The Simpsons and the Griffins have a lot in common, especially considering the differences between either of them and every other cartoon on the planet. They both feature a family with a dumbass dad, a loving mother who gets tired of the dumbass dad, an intelligent daughter who doesn't get anywhere, a dumbass son (two different types of dumbasses) ... and babies. And both families feature the grandpa that rarely shows up, and a dog, and silly fake cartoons that the kids and family like to watch...
The two babies are diametrically opposites: Maggie pretends to be a mute, and for all we know that makes her a genius; Stewie, on the other hand, is quite obviously a genius. This is why I think it makes sense that Maggie and Stewie should arrange a meeting, fall in love, blow up the Simpsons house, and then start their conquest to take over the world together.
Two families of five... comparable family members... similar styles of comedy... if you can't see the connection, watch again.

Exactly. More refreshing, more novel, more cutting edge. Raising the bar on what can be said on prime time TV... and how far cartoons can be pushed.

Hey everyone, first of all, If I had a genie, one of my wishes would be to have a feature length Simpsons and family Guy movie, not neccessarily the same movie, two would be better.(Another wish would be to have my own theme music) Let me just say Star Trek Sucks. Yes the simpsons is starting to get a bit stingy, but it's doing very well for a 15 year old cartoon. I am furious at Fox for discontinuing the alleged 4th season of Family guy, they should all be shot. And wouldn't it be odd if Family Guy, Simpsons, Futurama and King of the hill all came together? Cosmic.
Anywho, I think we should start a petition to get FG back on Fox. Luckily for the time being we have re-runs of our favorite family on TBS, and in canada Teletoon, the rest will have to stick with DVD's untill the glorious day when we see new material form Seth MacFarlane.
