Family Guy Episodes to Download...

This place lets you download episodes on a HTTP server for people who haven't seen some eps. Only some of them work and the quality isn't great...but hey... there you go..

I just downloaded ROAD TO RHODE ISLAND season 2 episode 13 from there. It's pretty good...the quality isn't picture perfect, but it's good enough, and if you fiddle with Real Player properly then it's able to do full screen really well. The thing that I didn't like with these 30MB episodes was that I used to download Star Trek Voyager episodes, but because it was live action it looked crap, but with a cartoon it looks fine.

Although i'm still on the lookout for AniVCD

realmedia sucks, i much prefer grabbing all the anivcd releases, and encoding them myself now that i have the proper equipment. i don't think you'll find all the anivcd releases on a http site anywhere, that's a massive amount of illegal files that would have to be stored somewhere.

Well....where do you get your files from? Is there a place that is OK for 56k users...such as RAR files about 15 - 20MB big or a resumable program like Kazaa?

I use 56k, and I get everything from Morpheus and Kazaa.

I can see what you're doing, and you're doing everything right, not wrong. You join the queue, and the fserver window shuts down. That's right, they don't like you idling in the fserver. That will shut down, but as long as you stay in the channel (the main chatroom), your file should start to download for you when it's your turn automatically. It's the same when you get into an fserver through its trigger, and you don't need to queue, you just get what you want and switch off the FSERVER window (not the channel - chatroom), and your download should carry on until it's finished. With MIRC, if you go to the DCC OPTIONS in the OPTIONS window in the FILE menu, you can switch on IF FILE EXISTS THEN RESUME, which will make sure that the files will pick up where it left off if you get disconnected. You are able to get a file that you already have part of, and it will carry on until it's finished.

No problem... The one thing is though, it doesn't automatically pick up when you reconnect..IF you do ever get disconnected, just go back to the FSERVER and get the same file again...it'll pick it back up.

I've got all ANiVCD releases of Family Guy, Futurama, Simpsons. They're all great quality, as ANiVCD is the gold standard by which all tv rips are measured.

ANiVCD releases are the easiest to find, since their IRC channel has hundreds of users at any given time (near 700 on Thursday nights). There are plenty of bots serving the latest episode, but with hundreds of people converging on them the instant the episode is available sometimes you must realize why patience is a virtue.

If you missed past episodes, you can easily get lesser-quality divx or copycat releases from dalnet. Direct Connect makes it easy to download entire seasons at once; many people have the entire show available for download.

Screw the HTTP episode sites. They get busted far too often and the ones that don't are busy 24/7.
