I have apologized for this statement. While I think the show is one of the signs of the apocalypse, I mean nobody involved with the show any personal harm. That said I'm pleased that the show is going off the air. People who LOVE shows matter in the sense that they bring in ratings, thus ad space is worth more, thus the studio puts it in again and again for the money. Those who don't care about a show matter in the sense that they don't bring in money for the studio. Isolated individuals who hate a show, ie You, is one who doesn't matter untill your opinion influences others to the extent that a decent-sized population of the viewing public purposely turn it off. As it is... you're quite isolated in your views as far as my eyes can see.

I mean I noticed a diahareic outflow of crap on tv on saturday mornings in the past couple of years, much of which is imported crap from Japan. (I like good anime, but the stuff american broadcasting companies buy makes me vomit in anger)

Networks greenlight and produce shows, but they don't give the audience a chance to find them..or purposely don't advertise them so they can be killed. The WB has killed 4 animated series...The Oblongs, Mission Hill, The PJs, and Baby Blues....Clerks was killed after 2 episodes, God the Devil and Bob, Sammy....well, those sucked, but still....why produce a whole season of animation if you're only gonna air 2 episodes!? Now, Invader Zim is cancelled and Family Guy....the studios aren't doing THAT much stuff and TONS of artists are outta work. What makes it completely sad is that most of these shows are VERY good, and don't deserve cancelation.

Yeah, just checked the online petition again, it is now up to 6 votes. YAY!!! and of those 6, a huge 33% are fans of FG who have professed their love for the show. Now, while this is admirable, why sign a petition against a show if you love it?? I really don't think the Fox execs. (or whoever) read all the comments - they just look at the results. If you love the show, don't sign a petition against it. That just isn't going to work.

Holy crap! It was under 9000 when I posted that message this morning. Over 3000 more signatures in a day, now that is impressive. If you look at planetfamilyguy.com, its the 3rd most popular internet petition there is, amongst lots of serious petitions (not that Save FG ISN'T serious of course), but its pretty funny to see "Save Family Guy!!" rubbing shoulders with things like "Depict the Flag Raising at Ground Zero of the WTC Attack as it Actually Occurred! "

That isn't the case with this guy unfortunately...he's trolled in here several times before. But I did laugh at his petition though, it's pretty funny how worked up and obsessed he gets over something as trivial as a tv show...that he doesn't even watch.
