What's up for Seth now?

Does anyone (*cough SZJ*) know were Seth is headed now with the cancelling of FG? Back to Cartoon Network maybe?

Quite a year for Seth McFarlane. For one thing, 2001 saw the tumultuous return of "Family Guy", for another, Seth narrowly missed being a causualty of one of the crashed 9/11 flights due to the mistake of his assistant (hopefully the assistant got to keep his/her job ;)

The future should offer some new possibilities for the guy. I hope "Family Guy" comes back on another network, or if not, that those DVDs come out on a Region 1 format. In the TV or movie industry, people tend to fall higher, meaning this kind of failure only helps one's career. Seth wrote and drew up the characters, and did most of the voices. People will see his talent. There are most likely many FG admirers in that business. The problem is the "name brand" mentality of TV networks. They like to ride a successful show for as long as they can, even despite the fact that shows like "The Simpsons" or "Friends" are tired and it shows.

Seth should be able to get some new projects going, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was a little wary the next time out.
