Has anyone tried to exchange their defective Family Guy DVD's? I see others are having problems, for me, parts of the second half of Disk 2. I was thinking to take it back to the store, and just exchanging Disk 2, just in case other disks are bad.
Has anyone tried to exchange...

My Disc 3 had a scratch a froze at various points. I brought it back and exchanged the entire set for a new one. I doubt any retail outlet would open another set to give you Disc 2 only, but if they do let me know.

My retail days are behind me, but when I was managing a store I would do things like that. That way I know I have one open set with a bad disc 2; if someone comes in with a bad disc 3 before I can send back the open set, I can exchange that disc without removing another good set from the shelves.
Sometimes if you explain these radical ideas to the store clerks, they'll see it your way.

Personally, I'd rather get another new set anyway, less hassle explaining to a poor retail twit the logic of that suggestion.
Here's the scoop, I wasn't able to exchange just one disk, but got a refund, and bought a new one. The store was Costco by the way. I checked all the new disks, at least in random places, and no defects.
By the way, Futurama was sold out at Costco, and third season of the Simpsons will be out in August.
