Well, Deadwood is a cowboy show on HBO.

The cowboys on FG's version were reading Playboys...and nothing was happening.

The reason it was funny was because the show was called Deadwood.

You see, "wood" is sometimes used as a euphemism for an erection, and men who read Playboy usually do it to achieve an erection so they can masturbate. The cowboys were not getting erections ("Anything yet?" "No. You?") and therefore the title of the show (Deadwood) was referring to their dead (unresponsive) "wood" - or inability to achieve an erection.

It's really quite amusing once you get it.
