Family Guy Season 1 DVD

I live in the US; if I buy the DVD from www.amazon.co.uk, and run it on a US DVD player, will it play?

Not unless the US DVD player is hacked to allow playing of discs outside Region 1. Not hard to do, but there *are* minor video issues regarding PAL-NTSC conversion. If it were the only way to get something, go ahead and hack a player to be region-free and get the other-Region DVDs. In this case, though, there will be a US Family Guy DVD coming this winter, so I'd wait, personally.

To find out the hackability of your DVD player, check out http://vcdhelp.com/dvdplayershack You could also get a hacked firmware for a DVD drive if desperate. I bought a DVD drive just for the FG DVD. :) Sucks that it has no extras though.

I was gonna order that, since I flashed my DVD-ROM drive anyway, but once I heard the FG region 1 Season 1 release would have commentaries and the Weinstein episode, I halted on that.
