Suppose Daria and Tom become a public item and they come to Daria's house when Quinn is there. How do you think Quinn would react to Daria having a handsome and charming man like Tom for a boyfriend?
Would she try to make one of usual immature plays for him? Would she be in shock and/or total denial? Would she pull one of her standard temper tantrums screaming that Daria is keeping this catch to herself while she has inferior selections?
What do you think?

Probably. Wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of working; Quinn is not only underage but also not his type.
I don't know if it would affect her _that_ deeply. She already knows that Daria has friends who don't take her very seriously.

I don't know about that... Quinn tends to ignore people that Daria speaks to. For example, Quinn wants to be the most popular person in school and have everyone like her but she doesn't compete for Jane's attention from Daria because Jane's just not important to her. I think this would go the same for Tom - he's not cool enough for her to bother.
I have a feeling it would be the "I have to take a shower" reaction that she gives her parents when they are... amorous.

One minor ironic point in "Fire!" was that the Fashion Club was in a hotel where they had no real business being, acting incredibly obnoxious, and wondering why other people didn't care whether their mere existence offended the FC ... and were repulsed by the genuinely emotionally touching scene of Helen and Jake being happy and playful.

Quinn will soon realize that Tom's "a brain," like Daria. She thought Bobby the Bellboy was cute, too, and we all know how *that* ended once she found out his real personality. Tom isn't stupid enough to crawl on his hands and knees for Quinn, so she won't like him for long.

I believe Quinn (and the Fashion Club, mind you) saw Tom on the float in "ILAP". Quinn certainly didn't react to Tom then. Also, Tom mentioned to Daria from his "car" in front of her house in "DDMD" before you-know-what happened, something to the effect of several girls (presumably the Fashion Club) rubbing their faces (with make up), and not wanting to be around them in the house when Daria came. This indicates Tom probably met Quinn then, asking her about Daria's whereabouts, then more than likely going back out to his car to wait for Daria.
I speculate that Quinn may have had a tiiiny spark of hope when Tom saw her then, but took glance at his Pinto, and immediately decided to let Daria have him. After all, one of Quinn's "requirements" to like a guy is what car he drives, remember?
Of course, if anyone saw in the MTV "scrapbook" what car Tom is driving in the movie, then Quinn might want to "consider" Tom--not that it would do her any good, of course. Thanks.
