Why only 6?

I recently heard that the third season was only going to be 6

episodes long. I thought that the show did 9 episodes per season.

Why are we being gyped 3 episodes?

Okay the NEW episodes are part of season 2. The last season had 13 episoes...This season (2nd) only had 7 so they need 6 more episodes to comple the 13-episode set...

Yeah, standard amount of episodes per season in almost any animated series is 13. However, sometimes if the show is popular enough, they squeeze more than 13 out the next season. In total, the standard package consists of 65 episodes per series,of course more can be made depending on the popularity of the show.

Beavis and Butthead went over 65, so did X-men, Gargoyles, Batman, Ninja Turtles, and also Transformers. It was my understanding that we would get 19-22 new episodes this season. That means the episode from "Arts N Crass" to the current are part of the second season. Currently the third season is being worked on. And also you have to remember that Daria starts much later in the season. While most new shows begin in September, Daria begins in February. So I'm just going to assume there will be many more episodes to come. (Of course if the producers or voice actors ever contributed to this board it would be a hell of alot better than having us second guess)

There needs to be at least 20 episodes a season that sucks, it can't take that long to make an episode because it isn't great animation, not that I have a problem with it
