Trent songs complete!

Dear Daria fans,

I'm attempting to put together a list of all Trent songs sung or mentioned to make a possible new survey on the ol' Paperpusher site. [http://paperpusher.simplenet.com or http://paperpusher.simplenet.com/Surveys/surveys.html if you are unfamiliar with the surveys on the site] This is what I have so far. Do you notice anything missing? [note that "I'm a Bleeding Holiday" from "Depth takes a Holiday" is not really a Trent song, since he's only playing backup guitar]

I come up with 12 songs total. We could quibble, of course, about "Pierce Me", since it was just a fantasy of Daria, but for the purposes of a survey, I think it should be there. Also, we only have 3 official titles from the series itself: "Icebox woman"; "Silly Little Self-Deluded Girl..." (etc), and "Paingasm." 11) # 311 "The Lawndale File" Probable title: "Happy Herb car" If you don't have a car or your present car sucks, go to Happy Herb with a few thousand bucks. Then you can drive here, you can drive there, drive where you want, Happy Herb don't care. It won't make you better or smarter, that true, but you can drive around when there's nothing else to do. So go buy a car, buy a damn car, hit the road to nowhere in your Happy Herb car.

12) # 313 "Jane�s Addition" Possible title: "Mr. Normal, it was you!" Who shot the hippies? Who locked them in a zoo? Who gagged the beatniks? Who filled their mouths with glue? Who crushed the bohos? Who turned their work to poo? Hey, Mr. Normal, it was you!

Are you going to regard the books as canonical? (I don't see why not; everything else in them has turned out to be accurate.)

If so, _The Daria Diaries_ has two Mystik Spiral songs, complete with lyrics, 'Behind My Eyelids' and 'From the Futon'. It also reveals that 'Icebox Woman' is the B-side of 'Behind My Eyelids'.

As a priest, it's sort of funny to be talking about canonicity outside of the bible. Very interesting. ;-) In any case, it's rich's web site and he makes the decisions, but I'll include the info in my recommendation. Thanks.

Forgot one!

My brother just reminded me that "Pierce me" has a real Trent Song in it. At the very end they sing, "Little sister, little sister. You came into my life like a twister, etc." That makes 13, or 15 if you include the Daria Diaries stuff. Any other corrections or additions?

Actually, they never say the title of the song in the episode. If the songs eventually get listed by probable title, I'll recommend "Little Sister" Here' s the relevant transcript, courtesy of Outpost Daria, of course.

Actually, Elvis and a whole lot of artists did that song.... if you do a search on the song title at CDNow, you'd be amazed at the variety of artists who did a song called "little sister".

Most people don't know it's actually a flower. I've got a couple incenses with Jasmine as a fragrance. Kind of nice, actually.
