Quinn should realize that...

Quinn should realize that she is INCAPABLE of doing anything unpopular because once she does it it BECOMES popular.

This was most obvious in QUINN THE BRAIN.

It was also in IS IT FALL YET when she gets a Tutor.

Also, (unbeknownst to her) in THE ROAD WARRIOR where she dresses alternative and the 3 J's love it, despite being against it earlier.

Please post other examples.

But the point is that if she realizes this then she can stop being so self-conscious about how she looks or what she does. She may already be on her way to that given the end of IS IT FALL YET.

This might result in her leaving the fashion club. Or it might result in her changing it, either becoming president or more covertly changing what its all about.

Some posters are hoping she'll rescue Stacy from Sandi. (Possibly by either of the two possibilities in last paragraph.) Sorry to say that Quinn has never shown any interest in helping Stacy. Even though Quinn doesn't put Stacy down like Sandi does, Quinn doesn't care about Stacy's problem, never urges her to stick up for herself or grow a spine.

Again, please post counterexamples if there are any.

I could easily see her getting Stacy on her side in any kind of power struggle , and then Tiffany would join Quinn and Stacy because that's more people than Sandi, and Tiffany is probably just as sick of Sandi as everyone else.

You are underestimating her urge to win against Sandi. Helping Stacy would be very bad from Sandi's perspective, and that is itself a reason to do it.

Daria is incredibly dumb. She has been in 10th grade for like 7 years!

Uh, ok, Daria was *never* shown in her sophomore year on this series. Which has so far lasted 4 years, *not* seven. If your post wasn't sarcastic, then feel free to return to the MTV Daria Chatroom. Really. It's ok.

I always thought that she started out in 10th grade in the series with Quinn being a freshman since she was a freshman in B&B... And also that she was a senior at the end of "Is it Fall Yet?" Or what grade is she in at the end of the movie, what grade was she in at the beginning of the series and what grade was she in her first and last appearances in B&B (you know what's weird? Even after the start of Daria, she was still seen in B&B unless she had a twin and the fatter, less attractive Daria stayed behind and the slightly different Daria with many shades of lipstick that change even in one show and an inability to smile unless she is truly happy or has done something evil left for Lawndale????)????

I'm not completely sure Quinn realizes what's going on with Stacy yet...if she starts gradually drifting away from the FC, she might realize just how badly Sandi is manipulating her and try (hopefully) to stop it. I think she'd be able to do more as a concerned outsider than a Fashion Club member.
