For those of us with a taste for "real" literature, I recommend "Tempest-Tost," by Robinson Davies. I'm reading it now, and there is a character in it, 14 years of age, who reminds me repeatedly of Daria.
This insight made me think about what other Darian characters I have encountered in my reading. So far the only one I can think of is Dagny Taggart, in "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Dagny was far more active and far less reflective than Daria, but she had a very Darian moment at her debutante's ball, sitting on the edge of a staircase and swinging her foot over the side while a gaggle of empty-headed society boys tried to get her attention.
