No school and no exams and no work is boring. And people being on holiday and stuff. So i am posting a pointless message. I go on holiday in 1 week. Joy. Great Yarmouth (sp?), of all places. Haha, i'm going to spend the whole holiday wearing long-sleeved tops and making excuses for why i can't go swimming etc. Either that or bare my (scarred, fyi) arms and suffer "Ewww! You freak, what did you do that for?". Hahaha. As if i haven't already taken enough of "You are going to eat when we go on holiday, aren't you? because if you don't you'll ruin it for the rest of us.."

It's ok for some! I've got lot's of work on unfortunately, which has played havoc with my Wimbledon watching. (Or vice versa...) Sadly Ms. Dokic has been knocked out by some irritating smiley happy person. Still, Daria in a couple of hours...
Time to invest in some opaque foundation whatsit methinks. Maybe you should write to J-17's makeup expert for advice!
Actually, if you get a good tan on your arms the scars will probably show less - you should try getting some sun in the garden before you go.

She attitude wasn't much different when she was winning in the previous four matches (or six if you include the doubles that she was also playing in (or nine if you include the qualifying matches (or... ))). I think Mary Pierce was rather more sullen though, apparently she was really pissed off at losing to a teenager ranked about 120 places below her. Curiously though, an article by the BBC claims that both Pierce & Dokic used to be beaten ("allegedly", as the saying goes) by their dads. I guess this could help explain their demeanour. I wonder what dark secrets Daria's past holds. Jake seems a bit in- your-face at times: Daria: "You're not going to shake me are you?"
They're good for that of course. Like Quinn is for instance. You need to keep them at arm's length though.

We had saturation coverage on the two BBC channels for the whole fortnight - something like 12 hours a day of tennis, six or seven days a week, all free (apart for the mandatory TV licence of course...) If it doesn't make you totally sick of tennis it can become quite compulsive after a while.
Being desperately short of a life I just looked at the new top 50 tennis player rankings on the WTA site, and all but two have remained virtually unchanged in their top 50 positions since Wimbledon. The two exceptions are Mirjana Lucic, who has risen from 134th place to 47th, and highest new entrant Jelena Dokic, who has risen from 129th in the world to 37th due to her Wimbledon victories!
Is that better or worse I wonder?

I just try to work Daria lines into everyday conversation. Like when my Mom came out with a new outfit and I asked, "Where'd you find that polyester number?" Of course she knew the line in Daria and got the joke. You can't use that one on just anyone. And my sister was designing a yearbook and asked me to help her with the title page. She asked if I could, "...jazz it up a little." I quipped, "You want me to put in a drum solo?" And whenever I pull some kind of minor blunder in which I disappoint myself I just say to myself, "Well so much for the 'being mistaken for a brain thing.'" Yep, Daria has pretty thoroughly infected my life.

IMO tennis is A LOT less boring than golf to watch on tv. That's not to say i find it particularly interesting, but nothing can come close to golf's boringness. The worst has got to be snooker, though..... Argghh...

The one saving grace with golf is that each hole is different, and there are more than 2 golfers on at any particular time. (Oh, yeah, it's also fun to watch them hit into the trees and then throw their clubs, too. <g>) But TV golf is still about as dull as baseball-- I go from 0 to unconscious in about 10 minutes. Tennis, 7-8 minutes. ;-)

(I also enjoyed watching the past 2 men's WCs as well.) Reason? Simple-- when you win the Cup, you are the champion for the next 4 years. Now *that* has some meaning to it. (And a lot of drama, too.)
College Basketball is a whole other matter as well-- there's bragging rights involved that outlive the 6 month shelf-life of most championships. I doubt that many of my fellow UNC fans will let our Dook rivals forget about losing 2 championships in 2 days anytime soon. ;-)

Ever tried auto racing? It puts my dad out in 20 minutes, and he *likes* it. If I was tired, which is physically impossible for me at the time of day auto racing is on, I think it could put me out in about 2 seconds. They can only drive in a circle for so long before it gets monotonous. I prefer the crash videos where stock cars do things not previously thought possible according to the laws of physics, which I think are the best things to ever come out of NASCAR.
