Daria's forced to go with her family to see a New Age psychotherapist. Gee, who would think OH's family would need *that*? Thanks.

Sounds interesting to say the least. Hopefully it delves into the mindsets of OH's family.

We could see what OH thinks of the Tom/Jane thing or if there's still anything there for Trent.

Quinn: We could see her true feelings for all members of the FC, and maybe a plan to take control.

Helen+Jake: We could see how they each feel about their marriage situation, and what one thinks of the other, and what they think of their daughters.

This ep has the potential for serious character development, at least within the family Morgerdorffer, anyone else care to offer an opinion?

I think Helen is probably more at risk of accepting New Age principles than Jake is. I think Helen's a little more idealistic than Jake, which makes her more suceptible to idealistic movements. In "That Was Then, This Is Dumb" it was Helen who more quickly reverted to the idealism of the Age of Aquarius. She did eventually come to her senses. Jake, on the other hand, never really caught the spirit. He *questioned* and he made a feeble gesture - not shaving - but he never showed any signs of deep commitment to "the movement."

Agreed! Helen seems to be the one looking for some magic means of bringing "magic" to her marriage and bringing her family together, but without going the traditional route of simply spending more time with them.

Jake, on the other hand, is oblibous to most outside stimulus, so he wouldn't be the one to seek out a new age solution.

Well, we'll find out soon, won't we?

If Daria says a word of truth during her entire session, I will be surprised. She doesn't trust her family and her few friends enough to let them know her feelings, why would she tell some psychotherapist? If she does say something honest and meaningful, I would be interested in seeing what the psychotherapist does to get it out of her.
