Sappy Anniversary - no real spoiler

I'm not sure which is more dangerous, Quinn trying to sabotage Daria, or Quinn actively trying to help Daria.

Oh well, back to lurking (it's a thankless job, but someone has to do it)

I'm not certain either. Probably they're equally dangerous, as Quinn's suggestions aren't usually much help even if she's not trying to sabotage Daria. Remember Daria's question to Quinn in "Dye! Dye! My Darling" about whether or not Quinn would tell her best friend that she kissed this best friend's boyfriend (a reference to Daria's impulsive action the night before)? Quinn's reply was definitely worthless. Of course, that was before "Is It Fall Yet?", but still it proves that Quinn's advice should be taken with a grain of salt most of the time.

It was also ambiguous: "Why would I do THAT?"

Why would she tell her best friend? Or why would she kiss her best friend's boyfriend? Which does she mean?

Knowing that Quinn views dating as a competitive game (she said so straight out in "This Year's Model") one would think she means the first, not the second. In fact, in "Lane Miserables" she told Daria (referring to Monique and Trent) that another girl's boyfriend is fair game. (Interestingly, in view of later events, Jane didn't raise a peep - but then, she didn't have a boyfriend then, and she thought Daria would be better for Trent than Monique.)

But here we have Quinn, three episodes after DDMD, referring to Daria's first kiss as "sleazy backstabbing".

So who knows what Quinn meant?
