Something I noticed.

I was watching The Daily Show today and noticed that Laura Kightlinger, the Daily Show's new corrsepondent, sounded a little bit like Sandi (and her mother). While listening to her voice in that piece (about the image of Bozo the Clown apearing in the stained-glass window of a church) I could hear that it would be very easy for her to slip into a Sandi-ish voice. Is it possible that Lisa Collins is a pseudonym used by Kightlinger?

Normally I would have thought nothing of it, but.... Laura Kightlinger co-wrote "This Year's Model." She obviously knows Glenn Eichler and probably most of the staff.

The Daily Show is taped in New York. Daria is produced in New York. I assume she would live in New York to do the gig for the Daily, that would make it easy for her to go to the Daria studios and do whatever Sandi voices needed to be done. now, this is where the first hole for this theory could be, she is a writer for Dennis Miller's show on HBO. Is Dennis Miller done in LA or New York?

There is some speculation that Nora Laudini is a pseudonym used by Nora Dunn (from SNL and recently appeared in episodes of Everbody Loves Raymond and The X-Files)

Finally, There are some folks (you know who you are) who claim that Tracy Grandstaff is really Janeane Garofalo. This theory is false but it deserves to be acknowledged whenever possible.

Anyway it's just a theory, please feel free to confirm, deny, or flame it.

(Of course about the time I make this bold assertion will be when news is released that Janeane Garofalo and Tracy Grandstaff are the same person.);-)

Yeah, and if she went to an MTV Holiday party while she was working for "Loveline," who knows who she could've run into? There's an image-- the MTV holiday party. (Jesse, stop eating all the brownies! There's nothing in them but *chocolate*, believe me!)

Of course, both CC and MTV are both owned by Viacom (what isn't these days?), so it's all one great big inbred comedy family, I guess. <g>

DM is in LA, but he only shoots about 4 months out of the year. 2 in winter, 2 in summer. (roughly) I'd also assume that since Sandi isn't a main character, she isn't needed to be in the studio all the time, maybe a few weeks a year at the most for voice work.

Yeah, and it would seem to be correct, based on her timbre. Of course, we'll never know for sure. <g> Union rules, you know.

It's Kyle's little way of making sure there's always at least one on-topic debate on a.t.d., and it's a way to tell the detail oriented from the non-detail oriented.

BTW, is anyone ever going to do those voiceprint analyses like I suggested here a few months ago? We could take up a collection. <g>

Those two could never be replaced, Kightlinger is a good start but she has some big shoes to fill. Maybe Brown and Unger left TDS to write for Daria.

Considering a comedian's touring schedule and/or traveling for TDS pieces, I could see how she could juggle a few gigs on each coast.

That would make debate of character voices sort of pointless since there wouldn't be any resolution on who is really who unless Dunn or Kightlinger started using their real names in the credits. But it's on-topic so why fight it.

these.. aren't... legit.... are they? It would seem a lil odd to go to such far lengths to fool some people, so i'm not sure.. however, the two pages ARE rather similar in structure.. oh, hell, i'll put them in my buddy list anyway. :-)
